Ryan Frank's project for Interventions 3 uses the container of a small, upstairs bedroom at 1608 President Street to explore the history and visualization of Bear Lodge, commonly known as Devil's Tower, in Northeastern Wyoming. A closet door serves as a base that sprouts a distorted and dispersed photograph of the iconic peak. Opposite is a window photo frame, reminiscent of the stained glass in the window's top section, with an arrangement of images from the surrounding trail.
The door and the window are entrances and exits, each a unique barrier and access point for the imagery from Bear Lodge and for the building at large. ryanmfrank.com
